The Bible

LET US EXAMINE...THE BIBLE

1- WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF THIS BOOK? Exodus 32:16/ And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables. 2 Timothy 3:16/ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

2- WE BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD GIVEN TO MAN. Hebrews 4:12/ For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 2 Samuel 23:1,2/ Now these be the last words of David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, 2-The spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. Jeremiah 1:4-9 (read) 1 Thessalonians 2:13/ For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

3- WHY DOES GOD SPEAK TO US BY OTHERS? Exodus 20:19/ And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. Deuteronomy 5:27/ Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it. Hebrews 1:1,2/ God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets. 2- Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

4- THEREFORE GOD SPEAKS TO THOSE HE CHOOSES, TO SPEAK TO US. Jeremiah 42:7/ And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah. 1 Corinthians 12:28/ And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 1 Kings 12:22/ But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying…

5- GOD WILL NOT CHANGE HIS WORD Hebrews 13:8/Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever. Matthew 24:35/ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Malachi 3:6/ For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. James 1:17/ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

6- WILL THE SCRIPTURES HELP ME OBTAIN ETERNAL LIFE? John 5:39/ Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Proverbs 2:1-5 (read) Proverbs 22:20,21/ Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge. 21- That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightiest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?

7- SHOULD I BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE? YES John 14:23,24/ Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 17:17/ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

8- WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE THAT IS BEING FULFILLED? Genesis 3:16-19 (read) Genesis 9:12-14/ And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13- I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14- And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud.

Matthew 24:5-7,12,14/ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6- And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7- For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 12- And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 14- And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

9- IS MANKIND’S CORRUPTION DESCRIBED IN THE BIBLE? Romans 1:23- 32 (read)

10- THE INCREASE IN KNOWLEDGE? Daniel 12:4/ But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

11- AIRPLANES? Isaiah 60:8/ Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

12- CARS? Nahum 2:4/ The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

13- CAN ANYONE ADD OR TAKE AWAY FROM THE HOLY BIBLE? NO Revelation 22:18,19/ For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19- And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Ecclesiastics 12:12/ And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

THE BIBLE HAS 39 BOOKS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT AND 27 IN THE NEW ONE. THE TOTAL OF BOOKS IS 66. THE BIBLE CHANGES THE FEELINGS OF MAN AND TURNS BAD INTO GOOD; IT ALSO BRINGS FORGIVENESS. OTHER BOOKS CONFUSE THE MIND AND THE HEART OF THE MAN IS NOT CHANGED FROM ITS NORMAL CONDITION.

Stephen's Death

Understanding Matthew 16:25 In the King James Version of the Bible, Matthew 16:25 beautifully encapsulates a powerful spiritual paradox: "For whoever seeks to save their life will lose it; but whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." It's a thought-provoking reminder that sometimes, in the quest for self-preservation and comfort, we might actually miss out on the deeper, more profound life that comes from surrendering ourselves for a greater purpose. The Heartwrenching Death of Stephen Now, if we shift gears a bit and dive into Acts 7:58-60, we find ourselves facing one of the most intense moments in the early Christian church – the execution of Stephen. Stephen wasn’t just your average believer; he was one of the very first deacons appointed to help with the needs of the early church. People recognized him for his incredible faith, wisdom, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in his life. Unfortunately, this great calling came at a high price. God's Hol...

cubierta de cabeza

1 Corintios 11:4-13 RV 1909 4.
