A Prophecy of the Final Days

1 Timothy 4:1-16

The Holy Word of God Says

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Guidelines for Serving Christ

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 These things command and teach.

12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

God Bless His Holy Word

Summary of 1 Timothy 4:1-16

The Spirit makes it abundantly clear that in the challenging times that lie ahead, some individuals will sadly drift away from the faith they once held dear. This dangerous departure will be fueled by seductive spirits and misleading teachings that originate from deceitful forces. These individuals will speak falsehoods masked in hypocrisy, as if they were truth, while their consciences become numb, like they’ve been branded with a hot iron, unable to feel right from wrong.

Furthermore, we see misguided teachings that will emerge, including those that prohibit marriage and insist on abstaining from certain foods. However, we must remember that God has created all things for our enjoyment, to be received with gratitude by those who truly believe and understand the truth. Every creature that God has fashioned is good and worthy of appreciation. Nothing is to be rejected, provided it is embraced with thankfulness. These blessings are sanctified through the word of God and prayer, highlighting the importance of acknowledging divine intentions behind our meals.

As you seek to guide fellow believers, remember that reminding them of these essential truths is a mark of a good minister of Jesus Christ. Your strength will come from being well-versed in the words of faith and the sound doctrine you have learned throughout your ministry. On the other hand, steer clear of meaningless tales and the old wives’ fables that can distract and deter from the essence of faith. Instead, invest your energy in pursuing godliness, as physical training may bring about some benefits, but the pursuit of a righteous and godly life holds promise for all aspects of existence—both in the now and in eternity.

This vital message is worth embracing wholeheartedly. Our labor and the trials we face stem from our trust in the living God, who stands as the Savior for all humanity, especially for those who place their faith in Him. Make sure to teach and command these vital lessons without hesitation. Do not allow anyone to look down on you simply because of your youth; rather, strive to be an exemplary figure for the believers around you, showcasing your faith through your words, actions, love, spirit, belief, and purity.

As you await my arrival, focus on dedicated reading, encouragement, and teaching doctrines that uplift and strengthen the faith community. Do not overlook the special gift that resides within you, one that was bestowed upon you through prophetic insight and laid upon you through the hands of a group of elders. Contemplate these matters deeply; immerse yourself in them entirely so that your growth and progress become visible to everyone around you.

Lastly, take care to reflect upon yourself and the teachings you espouse. Remain committed to these principles, for by doing so, you will ensure your own salvation and the salvation of those who are open to hearing your message. Your dedication to this ministry will not only benefit you but will also serve as a beacon of hope and guidance for others.

Stephen's Death

  Understanding Matthew 16:25 In the King James Version of the Bible, Matthew 16:25 beautifully encapsulates a powerful spiritual paradox: "For whoever seeks to save their life will lose it; but whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." It's a thought-provoking reminder that sometimes, in the quest for self-preservation and comfort, we might actually miss out on the deeper, more profound life that comes from surrendering ourselves for a greater purpose. The Heartwrenching Death of Stephen Now, if we shift gears a bit and dive into Acts 7:58-60, we find ourselves facing one of the most intense moments in the early Christian church – the execution of Stephen. Stephen wasn’t just your average believer; he was one of the very first deacons appointed to help with the needs of the early church. People recognized him for his incredible faith, wisdom, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in his life. Unfortunately, this great calling came at a high price. God's Hol...

cubierta de cabeza

  1 Corintios 11:4-13 RV 1909 4.
