The Power of Faith: How the True Church Shields Us from Evil

Matthew 24:12-14 KJV
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Navigating through our world can be a daunting and treacherous journey, particularly when one attempts to do so without the genuine spirit of God guiding them. The reality is that the world we inhabit has fallen into a state of curse, plagued by turmoil, conflict, and moral decay. In such an environment, the only sanctuary truly worth seeking is found within the walls of the true church—a bastion of goodness where faithful Christians diligently uphold all the commandments laid down by our Creator.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail againstit. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:18-19

This sacred space is not merely a physical structure; it embodies a divine refuge, resonating with the very presence of God. Just as on that momentous occasion when He appeared to Moses, and the ground on Mount Sinai was deemed holy, so too does the spirit of our Lord dwell among those who earnestly seek Him within the true church. Here, believers gather, united in faith and purpose, ensuring that they remain shielded from the pervasive negativity that saturates the outside world.

John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

From the dawn of time, following the entrance of sin into our realm, we have witnessed the relentless spread of evil and deceit, cunningly orchestrated by the devil himself. This sinister force has not only multiplied but has also been extraordinarily innovative in devising new methods to challenge and undermine the sacred laws established by our Creator. It is a constant battle against the spirit of error, which seeks to lead the faithful astray, sowing confusion and doubt.

In this chaotic landscape, the true church stands as a lighthouse, illuminating the path of righteousness. It is a community fortified by shared beliefs, where the faithful can draw strength from one another as they navigate the storms of life. Within its embrace, peace, hope, and divine guidance flourish, providing a stark contrast to the perilous world beyond. Those who take refuge in such a sanctuary are not merely existing but thriving, empowered by the spirit of God to live lives that reflect His goodness and glory amidst a world yearning for redemption.

Stephen's Death

Understanding Matthew 16:25 In the King James Version of the Bible, Matthew 16:25 beautifully encapsulates a powerful spiritual paradox: "For whoever seeks to save their life will lose it; but whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." It's a thought-provoking reminder that sometimes, in the quest for self-preservation and comfort, we might actually miss out on the deeper, more profound life that comes from surrendering ourselves for a greater purpose. The Heartwrenching Death of Stephen Now, if we shift gears a bit and dive into Acts 7:58-60, we find ourselves facing one of the most intense moments in the early Christian church – the execution of Stephen. Stephen wasn’t just your average believer; he was one of the very first deacons appointed to help with the needs of the early church. People recognized him for his incredible faith, wisdom, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in his life. Unfortunately, this great calling came at a high price. God's Hol...
